- Student’s parent must be a verified CM-KISAN beneficiary (Cultivation or Landless component)
- Admission must be on merit basis in a recognized institution with AISHE code
- Applicable for Govt., Private (within Odisha), and Premier Govt. Institutes (IIT, AIIMS, NIT, ICAR, etc.)
- Only one scholarship per student; must not receive any other scholarship
- Applicable for one professional course only
- No private institution outside Odisha is eligible

Q5. Can a student apply if they are already receiving another scholarship?
No. Students can only avail one scholarship at a time. If they wish to switch to Krishi Vidya Nidhi Yojana, they must discontinue the existing scholarship.
Q6. How can students apply?
Applications must be submitted online through the Odisha State Scholarship Portal: https://scholarship.odisha.gov.in. Physical applications are not accepted. Verification by the Head of Institution and Chief District Agriculture Officer (CDAO) is mandatory.
Q7. How is the scholarship amount disbursed?
The amount is transferred directly to the student’s bank account via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). The account must be active, Aadhaar-linked, and in the student’s name.
