The selection committee conducts the computer-based written test across two distinct stages:
- Stage 1: Preliminary Examination (CBT):September 20, 2026 (Sunday)
- Nature of Exam: Qualifying. Candidates scoring above the cutoff are shortlisted in a 1:5 ratio for the next stage.
- Stage 2: Main Examination (CBT):October 18, 2026 (Sunday)
- Nature of Exam: Merit-Based. The final selection and college allotments are based solely on the scores secured in this main round.

Candidates must carefully satisfy the following academic and professional requirements before registering:
- For B.Sc. Nursing Graduates:
- Full-time B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing or B.Sc. Nursing from an Indian Nursing Council (INC) or State Nursing Council recognized university/institute. OR
- Full-time Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing from an INC-recognized institute.
- Candidates must be registered as a Nurse & Midwife with any State Nursing Council or the Indian Nursing Council (INC).
- For GNM Diploma Holders:
- Diploma in General Nursing Midwifery (GNM) from an INC-recognized board or council.
- The candidate must have at least 2 Years of Post-Qualification Experience in a minimum 50-bedded hospital.
- Active registration as a Nurse & Midwife with any State Nursing Council or the Indian Nursing Council (INC).
- Age Limit: Minimum age of 18 Years and a maximum age of 30 Years as of the closing date of application. Upper age relaxations apply to SC/ST (5 years), OBC (3 years), and PwBD (10 years) categories.

Stage 1: Preliminary Exam Pattern (90 Minutes | 100 Questions)
- Question Type: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) only.

- General Knowledge & Aptitude: 20 Questions (20 Marks)

Stage 2: Main Exam Pattern (90 Minutes | 100 Questions)
- Focus Area: Purely clinical scenario-based questions, practical skill applications, and nursing case-management studies. No General Knowledge questions are included in this round.
- Total Marks: 100 Marks.

- Open your internet browser and visit the official website of AIIMS Exams at www.aiimsexams.ac.in.
- Click on the “Recruitments” tab displayed on the homepage navigation menu.
- Select the “Nursing Officer” option and click on “NORCET-11”.

- Generate your unique Candidate ID and password.
