Odisha Subhadra Yojana: ₹5,000 Installment to Reach 4.57 Lakh Women This Week

The Odisha government has announced a major payout under the Mukhyamantri Subhadra Yojana, with over 4.57 lakh women beneficiaries set to receive ₹5,000 each through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) this week. The total disbursement amounts to nearly ₹250 crore, providing timely financial support to women across the state.

The update was shared by Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida during official briefings held on January 7 and 8, where she reaffirmed the government’s commitment that no eligible woman will be left out of the scheme.

Who Will Receive the Payment This Week?

According to official data, the upcoming DBT release includes three categories of beneficiaries:

  • 1.78 lakh newly registered women, who will receive their first-ever ₹5,000 installment
  • 24,018 women whose applications were earlier excluded, now reinstated after verification
  • 2.55 lakh beneficiaries with pending dues, who will receive backlog installments in a single transfer

The government clarified that women with delayed or missed payments will receive all pending amounts together, ensuring full entitlement without loss.

Next Subhadra Yojana Installment Date Confirmed

The next regular installment under the scheme is scheduled for March 8, 2026, coinciding with International Women’s Day. This payment will mark the fourth ₹5,000 installment overall and the second tranche of the ₹10,000 annual assistance for 2026.

Officials noted that this schedule follows the established pattern, with installments traditionally released around March and August, often linked to key occasions and festivals.

Beneficiaries can log in using their Aadhaar number to verify bank account linkage and DBT approval. Those facing issues or needing corrections should approach nearby Mo Seva Kendras to update details, as the current payment cycle prioritizes verified and pending cases.

Applications Still Open
